2023-2024 Art Contest Winners
Open from November 16, 2023, to February 29, 2024, the Democracy & Me Art Contest received over 200 entries from school-age children and youth across British Columbia. Among the participants were students from over 50 public and independent schools representing different regions of the province.
The contest invited young British Columbians to reflect through visual art on the importance of community, civic engagement, and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and democracy. The contest’s participants were grouped into three categories. Each category had its own guiding question and winner:
